2024
Residential Community Management & Healthcare Human Resource Solutions
We expanded our advisory services with a new project in residential and community management—assisting finance and accounting leadership with faster, more effective transitions in financial package preparation and accounting. At the same time, we partnered with a client in healthcare human resource solutions, addressing the growing demand for workforce flexibility and specialized talent.
2023
Interim & Advisory Leadership
IXC cemented its reputation as a trusted partner by delivering expert advisory and interim CFO services across diverse sectors. We led capital raise initiatives, financial stabilization efforts, and infrastructure building, helping clients improve visibility and prepare for growth.
We also partnered with a PE-backed healthcare organization in South Florida post-transaction, supporting the CFO and CEO in focusing on day-to-day leadership and operational priorities.
2020
Corporate Process & Shared Services
Interconnext (IXC) delivered significant process improvements for multi-unit and corporate clients, including building an FP&A framework and redesigning shared services functions. We also developed a due diligence framework for a major franchise’s transition to new ownership, enhancing financial visibility and scalability.
This year also marked our expansion into larger franchise engagements. IXC supported one of the world’s largest restaurant franchise organizations through a transformation initiative, providing multi-unit transaction support and M&A advisory.
2019
Process Optimization, Strategic Advisory & Capital Raise
The firm broadened its focus by assisting clients with process excellence, due diligence, and capital formation. A pivotal opportunity came from the telehealth industry, introducing Mahmud to the CEO and CFO of a CBD-based startup. IXC supported the capital raise process, investor roadshows, and banking/loan facility setup while also advising on a major CBD acquisition and integration strategy.
During this period, IXC began assembling a network of experts to deliver targeted solutions for clients in industries such as private-label cosmetics, multi-unit real estate cleaning, and sanitation services.
2018
A Vision Takes Form
Mahmud Samad founded Interconnext (formerly 4MUS Consulting) after recognizing a unique opportunity to help PE-backed ventures, startups, and growth companies. The first engagement came through a mentor’s introduction, supporting a healthy food delivery business as interim CFO.
It quickly became clear that Mahmud’s large-company expertise, combined with a franchise-focused mindset, created a powerful match for emerging businesses. The firm’s mission was set: to provide strategic guidance tailored to each client’s needs, size, and growth trajectory, helping them overcome hurdles and achieve sustainable success.
